Terry Twigger

Terry is a Senior Adviser at Ventus. The former CEO and CFO of FTSE 100 aerospace & defense company Meggitt PLC, Terry offers invaluable expertise to the Ventus team and portfolio companies across areas such as M&A, strategy, operations, organizational structure, and governance.

Terry qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, and then spent 15 years with Lucas Aerospace, rising to finance director. 

In 1993, Terry joined aerospace & defense prime Meggitt PLC. He became CFO in 1995 and CEO in 2001, a position he held through to his retirement in 2013. As CEO, Terry led Meggitt’s rise into the FTSE 100, revenue growth from $500m to $2bn, and market cap growth from $750m to $5bn. 

He also presided over several large acquisitions in the US and Europe, including Dunlop Standard Aerospace ($730m EV), K&F Industries Holdings ($1.8bn EV) and Pacific Science Aerospace ($685m EV).

In 2013, Terry co-founded Auctus Industries alongside Valerio Massimo di Roccasecca and was board chairman of Shimtech Industries (later re-named Avantus Aerospace). 

Terry holds a BSc in Economics & Accountancy from Bristol University.
